Vivian Perelman is a dedicated and compassionate attorney who fights tooth and nail for her clients both inside and outside the courtroom. She continually strives to effectively persuade the legal system to recognize her client’s humanity by using client-centered, trauma-informed advocacy.
While attending law school, Vivian soon found that her passion was in litigation and trial practice. She interned at Santa Clara County, Monterey County, and Ventura County Public Defender’s Offices, getting an opportunity there to hone her advocacy skills. After graduating, she was hired on as a Deputy Public Defender at the Ventura County Public Defender’s Office, where she spent several years fiercely advocating for her clients in both adult criminal and juvenile delinquency court.
Vivian has an excellent trial record, with numerous acquittals that has earned her recognition from both attorneys and clients. Additionally, she has been able to secure a great number of dismissals before trial by proving that the police violated her clients’ rights. She has represented clients charged with a large variety of crimes, such as, carjacking, robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, gang crimes, sex crimes, domestic violence, drug possession, vandalism, restraining order violations, hit and run, and driving under the influence.
Vivian is especially dedicated to her juvenile delinquency practice, and her motto is “fight smarter.
