Criminal Defense

Murder & Assault

crimlaw

Our lawyers represent people accused of violent crimes ranging from misdemeanor assault, to felony assault with a weapon, to manslaughter, to first-degree murder.

A first-degree murder charge is as serious as it gets, since you are fighting for your life. If you are charged with murder or any violent crime, it’s important to hire a lawyer at the earliest possible stage. Also, do not talk about the alleged crime while you are in custody. All phone calls and correspondence in and out of jail are monitored and recorded by law enforcement. Any communication made while in custody can be used against a client at any stage of the proceedings.

As soon as you contact our law firm, our lawyers will use a team of investigators to conduct our own examination of your case. It’s important to act quickly so we can put ourselves in the position where we can mount your defense before evidence or witnesses disappear. It’s also important to talk to third-party witnesses before they talk to the police or the district attorney.

Our lawyers have handled more than fifty murder cases in the San Francisco Bay Area. We know what needs to be done to defend someone accused of a serious crime. We know from experience what evidence we need and where to obtain that evidence. Defenses in a first degree murder case may range from creating reasonable doubt that you committed the crime to self defense. We also explore a defense based on your state of mind or mental issues.

Simply because you are charged with homicide doesn’t mean that it’s impossible to arrange bail. We have arranged bail for people charged with both felony assault and homicide.
